For the price it is okay. Cross cut is better security. The finished product takes up a lot of room and you are constantly emptying the basket. Cross cut is better.

Having purchased other Aurora models in the past I was dissapointed in the AS810SD model. It unit shredded unevenly, jammed & broke within the first 10 minutes of operation.

Good shredder. It can handle paper, credit cards & CDs with ease. The thing to remember is not to put more than 5 sheets at a time. For the price offered it is a good buy. One problem i have seen is while shredding post aid notes. I think it is the stick surface that sticks to the blades preventing futher shredding.
