I was quite disappointed with this product. It will not shred any paper thicker than onion skin and then only on the ends, not in the middle of the page. It merely creates accordion folds.

I purchased this, as opposed to the other manual shredders here, because of the styling, which I do like. That was a mistake. It is useful only as a curiosity, perhaps as a tub for a terrarium.

I was looking for a tiny paper shredder with a hand crank, and that's what I got. I use mine for shredding personal info and for turning my extra paper into bedding for my pet rodents, and I'm thrilled with it. I love how skinny the strips are, and I'm paying less on pet supplies now that I can add shredded paper to their cages. Decent product. Good green idea. Only works well with one sheet at a time. Needs better crank and gears to handle more paper at a time to be more efficient.

I preordered this one ... it was nice to have a box on the porch before leaving on vacation. It is standard Stephanie Plum ... not so great but not the worst either. The story line is a little different with Lula taking a larger role. Things still get blown up and Grandma is still packing heat. Maybe I am just wanting her to make her mind already about Ranger and Morrelli ... she is still waivering between the two in this book. All in all it is good for a fast read but not much more than that.
I love this series. And if you're a fan, you're going to read the book. But borrow it, or buy it used, save some money, and hopefully next year's will be worth the new release price. If possible, it seems that Miz Plum has acutally become worse at her job, which is irritating. Not that anyone ever expects her to be a great bounty hunter, but it seems that she has regressed to book one. The humor is predictable (more lewd or just plain silly than laugh out loud), the plot(s) almost seems to ......

I've read this book countless number of times in my life. I downloaded it telling myself I didn't need to download it but I got to reading it on my ipod touch no less and I got caught up in it. Every time I was out I'd pull it out of my purse and read a little bit here and there. Throughly enjoyed the book again! Very good experience and can't wait to read my next book. A very loooooong time ago I was a Honors English student in college; we read the classics voraciously. While Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" is one of my all-time favorites, I always dreaded reading Jane Austin. She can be very bland, dry, and boring. This book is a bit different, with the characters showing more wit than Austin usually provides.

Nice For Some Maybe Even Most, But Sadly Not My Cup of Tea

To those of you who adore Jane Austen please try not to take it personally that I did not love this book, it is not an insult to you OR her.

I have traditionally avoided the classics but made a recent resolution to try some. I made a list of a dozen or so and have had mixed results so far.

I think that my expectations were too high, I was expecting something like Jane Eyre, which I loved. Unfortunate......

I am trying to read more classics because I never really paid attention to them in high school. I started reading this one and at first I was having a hard time getting into it, it is a bit slow. But by the second half of the book I couldn't put it down. Terrific love story, literature at its finest.

My only criticism, is that I wish the book had more content, deeper......

The wildly out-of-proportion success of this book testifies to the disenfranchisement felt by many Americans that Beck refers to so often. Easily jams. Tried to clear the jam and now it doesn't work. A real piece of junk and I've only had it three weeks.

I bought this shredder and used it once, lightly, only shredding two pages at a time. When I went to use it several days later the auto mode was no longer working. The reverse would run, but auto would not start when a paper was inserted.

I've had it 3 weeks, used 5 times. credit cards jam - had to take it apart both times to clear jams. Had to adjust the safety switch since it would not run at all. Paper is hard to feed. Loud and electrically noisy - can hear it "click" on my computer speakers. The worst shredder ever.
